Having trouble logging in?

If you are having trouble logging in:

  1. Make sure that both your username and password is correct, i.e. that there are no spelling/typing errors or unnecessary spaces and that the caps lock is off (passwords are case sensitive).
  2. Clear any automatically stored passwords. This will ensure that invalid password information is not being entered for you automatically by your computer or browser. Do this by clicking on your browser’s settings and look for the ‘Saved passwords’ or ‘Manage passwords’ option (usually under Preferences, Settings or Options). Look for pharosonline.co.za or pharosaanlyn.co.za and remove the stored password (usually by clicking on the x when hovering over the password).
  3. Reset your password by using the password reset link below. Please use your email address used as username for PharosOnline. If you do not receive the password reset email, check the spam or junk folder. If it's not there, please send an email to pharos@pharos.co.za and we will reset your password for you. Please ensure that your mailbox or anti-virus software does not block emails from @cheymaxim or @pharos.

Tip

PharosOnline has a ‘remember me’ function which, when checked, allows you to carry on where you left of provided you did not click on ‘sign out’ after your last visit. There is no need to log out or select all your dictionary choices again and again. Simply close PharosOnline (don’t click on ‘sign out’; just close the tab or browser) and when you open the page again you will already be signed in with all you previous dictionary choices. *
